Introduction

As an endodontic patient, what should I expect?

A comprehensive examination to diagnose your orofacial pain and pulpal injury, and determine whether your tooth is a good candidate for endodontic therapy is the first step in your treatment.

Non-surgical treatment will be used to eliminate the diseased pulp causing your distress. This injured tissue is removed and the root canal system is thoroughly cleaned and sealed.

Some cases involve the retreatment of existing root canals. Contamination can cause problems that are similar to those experienced prior to the initial root canal cleaning. Most teeth can be saved by again cleaning and refilling the canals.

Under certain circumstances, microsurgery may be indicated. We are experts in performing this procedure with over 1000 cases completed, and utilize sophisticated equipment such as surgical microscopic magnification up to 20X to ensure the best result.
