Meet Dr. Paris
My name is Dr. H. Edward Paris, Jr. I was born in Lynchburg, Virginia, spent my early years in Virginia Beach, and moved during high school to Atlanta. I received my undergraduate degree in biology from The University of Georgia in 1977 and my Doctorate in Dental Surgery degree from Emory University in 1981. I completed an endodontic residency at The Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, following three years of service as a Dental Corps Lieutenant in the United States Navy in Newport, Rhode Island. I joined Tissura, Gregory and Shapiro, P.A. in Atlanta as an associate in 1986. After two years, I moved to Columbus in July of 1988 to start my own practice.
I have devoted my professional career to all aspects of Endodontic practice with special interests in the surgical treatment, pulpal conservation and trauma mediation of damaged teeth. To keep abreast of the latest developments in endodontics, I attend many continuing education seminars and national meetings, including the annual American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association and the Georgia Dental Association meetings.
My hobbies include golf, tennis, gardening and collections that vary from antiques Christmas lights to CocaCola memorabilia to antique woodworking tools. I have two children: Devon a dentist in Alpharetta, Georgia and Matt, a Law student at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama.
